Craft and materials
What every Deewar print is made of, and how it is made.
Canvas
Prints are made on 380 GSM poly-cotton canvas with a matte finish. The weave is tight enough to hold fine detail and heavy enough not to sag on the stretcher.
Inks
Pigment inks with a 75-year fade rating under normal indoor light. Colours are matched to the artist's file on calibrated printers.
Frame
Floating frames are made from solid pine sourced from Uttarakhand, 1.5 inches deep and reinforced with MDF at the corners. The canvas sits inside with an 8 mm float gap between the canvas edge and the frame. Three finishes are offered: Matte Black, Natural Oak and Gallery White.
Stretched canvas
The gallery-wrap option stretches the canvas on 1.5-inch pine bars with a mirrored edge wrap, so the image continues around the sides.
In the box
Hooks and nails are included with every order, along with a care card. Each piece is photographed before dispatch and double-boxed with corner guards.
Made to order
Nothing is printed until it is ordered. Production takes 4 to 5 working days in Amritsar, and delivery takes 7 to 10 working days in total.
